Rolling

It was a bright afternoon, with scattered clouds creating patterns of light and shadow, constantly shifting, across the landscape. I looped around the edge of the village to get to the bottom of the valley, then climbed partway up the other side. I was pleased to catch the view of the village in a patch of sunlight, but in the end have made it an extra and chosen this view along the side of the valley as my main photo: I like the way the lines in the fields emphasise the undulations, with the hills beyond giving a real sense of the green, rolling countryside we live in.
