Mucky

Everything feels mucky at the moment.

The bathroom refurbishment is progressing reasonably well (as far as I can tell, anyway) but the upshot is that there is a fine layer of dust everywhere and I mean everywhere; not just in the vicinity of the bathrooms but in other more distant rooms, too. The fitter tells me it will get better next week...

In the meantime we have another saga going on, this time  with our drive. It's a shared drive although, technically, we own it. A few weeks ago our neighbours had a water leak so their insurance company sent a firm to find and repair it.  They opened up a succession of holes before  finally declaring the leak found. They came back and repaired it and said they would be back to make good including using a compactor and regravelling. But before that happened it transpired that in repairing the water leak they had damaged the gas supply. More workmen came and dug the drive up again and repaired the gas supply. But then before they started the drive resurface it transpired the water leak had not been fixed or there is another leak. No one has been back since. It would be funny if it wasn't such a nuisance. The drive is now a sea of mud and getting worse by the minute as the rain pours down. It remains unclear when and how a gravelled surface is going to be restored. What a mess.
