Romans was ‘ere’

We drove to Cartegena today (pronounced Cartahena) A really interesting place with lots of Roman ruins and archeological digs going on. We went in the Roman Museum and it took us outside to the amphitheater. It was amazing.
The town itself was beautiful too - all the pavements being marble and the architecture very intricate baroque style.
We had lunch at a street cafe and managed to find vegan options. Later we wanted coffee and cake but I suppose that was a bit too much to ask. However we found an eco shop and they had vegan muffins so we bought them and then found takeaway coffee so we sat on a bench and enjoyed our little feast.
I don’t know how far we walked but we all have sore legs tonight!
