Fire!

Today was dominated by Mike, mainly, burning piles of olive trimmings all over the Land. I helped a bit, and it's very hard, very hot work... eventually, said I thought it was not worth the risk of heat stroke or whatever when we're traveling tomorrow, and he gave up, though there is still a lot to do. Could be that it will be too dry to do it when we get back, but so be it. Wish there was a more ecological way to get rid of the mess, but don't know what it is...

Got the news tonight that Ermelinda's nephew (who we've shared a few meals and celebrations with) has been in a terrible accident, coming home from Uni - he ran into a wild boar and then into a tree, has been operated on and is in a coma... so awful for them.

Gratefuls:
- this part of the Land looking a lot tidier and less risk of wildfire, and that Mike survived!
- lovely chat with Paul this morning
- going to church down in the town tonight and seeing folk we don't normally see

Also, please, if you can, let's all help this fellow Blipper, Max, even if just for a couple of quid.
