Stained glass

We had a day out today.  W has some long standing friends who moved from South Africa to Ireland in 2007, and we have wound up living quite close to them.  So today we visited them.

Almost the first thing to catch my eye as we entered their house was this stained glass panel.  They brought it from South Africa.  It's not shown off to its best advantage today - not enough light.

They provided a lovely lunch of soup, fresh bread and a cheese selection.  We then drove around the area and they introduced us to a number of local sites.  It was raining when we drove to their house, and although the rain had stopped by the time we had chatted and lunched, there was still a chilly wind.  None of my photos were worth keeping.  We will return in more clement weather.
