A German road

Another day meandering through the German countryside.  We passed through many villages, saw lots of impressive houses, but didn't stop to photograph any - partly because it was intermittently quite wet, partly because we had quite a few kilometres to drive.
 
We accidentally ended up on a motorway at one point, but took advantage of it to have coffee and charge the car at the services.
 
When we started to think about lunch, we couldn't find anywhere open other than McDonalds/BurgerKing - it was Good Friday, after all.  So we stopped at a garage to use the loos, then snacked on crisps to keep us going.
 
When we arrived at the hotel, we were relieved to find it was serving quite nice food.
