Take a Walk With Me

We decided to use today for running our errands. We started with a hearty breakfast at home. We put each place in our calendar because, otherwise we’d come home before making all our stops. We dropped empty dishes at my son’s house, took a donation to school and headed to my mother’s. She was making a pot of asparagus soup for her card party tonight. Her kitchen smelled delish. Hubby had all her paperwork to explain so I walked around her property looking for blip material. We were both successful. My mother gets very anxious these days, afraid she’ll forget to take care of something important. Hubby had her write checks for two of her federal and state “quarterly” tax payments; that should ease her mind till September. I also had a couple pretty blouses for her to try on. She seemed to be happier/more content when we left. He will mail them by the due date. The creek was very clear today and there were various trees and bulbs in bloom. We picked up meds and treated ourselves to a DQ blizzard which we haven’t had for awhile. We dropped off clothes at the thrift store and then shopped, mostly for our spoiled kitties. It’s nap time and then we are going out to celebrate tax time being behind us! Sure hope you are almost finished with that dreaded job also. Take care and enjoy a little sunny weather.
