Sanna Bay

This morning we took ourselves back to the mainland on the ferry from Tobermory to Kilchoan. Very good elevenses at Puffin Coffee and then on to the famous Ardnamurchan Lighthouse (extra). On the road back we spotted a footpath to Sanna and walked to the beach. Neither of us has been here since we were teenagers on (separate) family holidays.

The beach is perfect white sand. The sea is turquoise. In the distance, off shore,  are the Small Isles of Muck, Rum and Eigg. I've visited them in years gone by and had good walks on Muck and Rum. Lots of midge activity  on the latter.   What a beautiful walk we've had today and not a midge in sight.

Called into Puffin Coffee for some soup and now we're in the queue for the return crossing to Mull. The sun is shining. The sky is blue. What more could you ask for.
