Cambridge colleges

We were up early this morning and were in Cambridge by 8.30am. Tommy was still getting showered and dressed so we walked Xena around Coe Fen for a while until our agreed meeting time of 9am.It was such a beautiful day, blue skies and sunny and although the wind was a little fresh in the sunshine it was quite warm. We parked outside Tommy's college and then walked a few yards to Hot Numbers for breakfast. Thankfully dogs were allowed inside so it all works out. I messaged Adam to ask if he wanted to join us for breakfast, as I knew he was working today, and by coincidence he was having breakfast at the same place with his lab colleagues so we also saw him.

After breakfast Tommy went back to work and Gavin and I walked into the shopping area of Cambridge as Gavin needed a SD card for the drone. We went to Wex Photo and dogs were also allowed in there - in fact they love to have dogs in their shop and have a doggie wall of fame, so they asked if they could take a photo of Xena and she will now be up on their wall.

This collage is a collection of the colleges.Top left is Downing College with the daffodils (Tommy's college) then going clockwise its Peterhouse then Pembroke (I think) and finally Corpus Christi viewed through the archway. An extra of Tommy outside the engineering department, 'his' faculty for the past (nearly) 4 years. Graduation this summer! (Hopefully haircut by then? And 'exam beard' to be trimmed)

The traffic to Norfolk was quite heavy, what you would expect on a bank holiday weekend. We arrived by lunchtime and took Xena for a walk, but managed to get back by 4pm for the groceries delivery.

Adam is now on his way to join us, while Like will join us tomorrow evening as he is away playing golf with his friends. Gavin, Adam and I are playing golf tomorrow afternoon at a nearby golf club, it will be quite a challenge for me.

I found out today that our trip to Norway was the last one our photo leader will be doing, as Norway have introduced a new law saying that foreign tour leaders now require a Norwegian taxi licence to drive groups around. So all photography trips to Norway are being cancelled by the various photography leaders.
