What a beautiful day!

Caught the 12.30 ferry today, the Coruisk, still on loan to the Mull route,  and enjoyed a wonderfully sunny sail to Craignure on Mull. A 35 mile bus ride along the reasonably quiet and mostly single track road brought me to Fionnphort, the end of the road and ferry connection to Iona.

I was lucky to get a front row seat in the bus and a dramatic view of the journey - see extra. I met up with Daughter One at Fionnphort and we took the ferry across the short stretch of water to Iona, where we enjoyed a quick cuppa and a lovely walk along the road past the Abbey. 

My Blip today is of the ferry crossing to Mull before returning to pick us up, together with quite a few others! We enjoyed fish and chips in the sunshine before driving back to Daughter One's place. A thoroughly beautiful day!
