On a Bear Hunt

Spent most of the day on a trail that was inaugurated in 2001, in the Serra d'Ossa (Bear Hills), with Netty and her three, and Becca. Absolutely wonderful, starting in the small mountain village of Aldeia da Serra, and winding up a valley to the church and cemetery at the top, through ancient orchards, watered by the stream, with boardwalks in several bits. Lots of photos here, if you're interested.

Followed by a pretty good picnic under the shade of a huge eucalyptus at the edge of a lake. Definitely plan to visit both places again.

Gratefuls:
- a late nap, catching up on sleep, both of us feeling exhausted
- good chats with all three kids
- Mike clearing out the freezer, and think we've managed to get rid of the smell of rotting meat, not nice!
