The Soft Willow Cats

Still here in the country. Weather's great, sunny and around +9 by day. A few degrees below zero last night.

In the morning we went to see the burnt house of my brother's, not anything nice to see, but seeing it helps to make the thing concrete. The rest of the day with mother, of course. And saw the brother too, so nice. Some things are already in the process to work out. The beginning has started, thank goodness.

In the eveningin getting back home from mother again we did a small tour along the lakeshore, see the first Extra. In the main picture there are willow cats. In the Finnish Christian tradition, willow cats are associated with Easter's Palm Sunday, and so they belong to the Finnish Easter in homes too. We didn't get them or any Easter decoration because of traveling. But we did ate "mämmi", the traditional Finnish Easter desert, that t I blipped already last Easter Apr 15t.

In the second extra you see a the small tortoisehell, on right side. I saw it in my mother's yard, where still is much snow too. The first butterfly this spring. Tomorrow we go to our main home, the holiday is over this time.
