Back to The South

The last day in the country.
Weather was still sunny and around +10, around -3 below zero at night.

Not much time to do anything but pack and put things in order. I had time  to go a short ride with moped. Mother surprised us by being strong enough to walk to us. We had a dinner and took a nap with her before leaving. In the late afternoon we took her home as we started the journey to Helsinki. The picture is taken from the mowing car quite at the beginning of the journey, the sun shining from the southwest, almost directly in front all the way. From the car we saw deers, cranes and swans on the melting fields.

Although we experienced grief, we couldn't have asked for better weather and we also could had the feeling of a certain kind of restfullness all this time in the country being away from our everyday life, and of course, near my mother.
