In the forest …

….. ….. ….. I found an Ent!
Ents are beings in Tolkeins Middle Earth, who closely resemble trees; their leader Is Treebeard of Fangorn Forest. Their name is derived from an Old English word for ‘giant’.

As soon as I saw this Ent’s eyes I knew what I was seeing!
Maybe I’m losing my marbles?

There was a girl in my class at school who’s name was Enting. Maybe her family were giants! (Remember her M.?)

We’d been walking along the Lower Shotover River track, loving all the Autumn colours. There were lots of wonderful golds, and deep coloured toadstools too - see Extras.
