Glasson Dock

I have realised, belatedly, over this weekend, that bank holidays are the true holidays, because no one else is working, so there's no email, no phone calls, nothing.

I'd told Dan and Abi that they needed to be up by eleven this morning so that we could drive down to Glasson Dock. Notorious amongst kids of their age as the place where the drugs land, they've never been to see what is actually a nice little place.

We had a wander around, went to the Smokehouse, which was (surprisingly) open, and did a bit of shopping, and then had lunch in the Dalton Arms, which was also excellent, and the welcome was indeed warm, as advertised outside.
