Unfurling Ferns

Well...what a sparkling morning it was.  The wind was a tad on the chilly side but in sheltered spots the sun was really warm.

A and I walked around the Bayfield Estate enjoying the perfect spring day.  The birds were singing and there was lots of new growth, including these pretty ferns in a shaft of sunlight.

We've had a new pair of doors fitted to our summerhouse today.  My next job is to get in there with the vacuum cleaner, a duster and a bucket of warm soapy water and give it all a thorough clean ready for summer use...maybe tomorrow.
