Many Thanks to Elwetritsche.  A packet arrived in the post that I wasn't expecting.  This was the book that was inside.

I shall do my homework and try to learn how to swear in Pälzisch.

Dialects here are very strange.  For my ears.  I often think "I learned the wrong version of German".  It always takes me a couple of days to get used to the speech rhythms of someone new.  And some I'll never understand - I'm looking at you Sachsen and you Franken and you Bavaria.

My colleagues were totally on board with my suggestion that we game the system.  We open tickets for everything and we close them as soon as we can.  They want it documented, we're documenting EVERYTHING.
