Choppy Seas

I wrote yesterday that the weather forecast was not too good for the next few days. Today the wind increased to 25-30 knots. That's nothing to worry about. But the direction is from the NNW and you'll know for sure that you will have some swell as well. There is no land in a NNW-ly direction from here to stop a building swell. I checked it on Google Earth and the first coastline able to provide some shelter is 1350 nautical miles away from here; it is the Greenland coast. Again; this weather is nothing special and nothing to worry about, even for smaller vessels like our Guard Vessel Bounty II on this picture.
