Brandenburg Gate, Berlin

Helen and I are having a weekend city-break in Berlin (the return airflights were a Christmas present from our kids). After finding our way to our hotel (by fluke/luck, the train we got from the airport turned out to be going to the station nearest our hotel), we strolled through the city to the Brandenburg Gate and the Jewish Holocaust memorial, took some photos, watched people milling around outside the Adlon Hotel (King Charles and Camilla are visiting Germany this week too), then strolled back to our hotel area, and went to an Italian restaurant across the road. Didn't realise that few Berliners pay with plastic - we will have to get some cash for future meals.
