Lucy

Doug had an awful night, consequently I did too.
Texted my physio friend Lucy (ex colleague) who is now practising on her own, combining with animal physio as well as humans !!
She knows Doug’s history which goes back to 2008 (10 days in hospital), 2011 (6 days in hospital) and various physio sessions since, the most recent two years ago.
Fortunately, she was treating a dog who recently had spinal surgery this morning in Temuka, and suggested she call in on her way home and treat Doug at home.
Blip done in one click, here she is doing mobes, then followed by acupuncture…..(plus coffee, pikelets and a good catch up)….another appointment on Friday but at her rooms in Waimate this time.
But before this, I managed to get an appointment at the doctors, and as expected pain relief drugs were prescribed for his spinal stenosis and was told to be a “good boy”.
A really hot day, reaching 22°, much of the country is experiencing heavy rain and winds (the Met Service are calling it an atmospheric river) resulting in flooding, slips, trees down and roads closed. Predicted to last until Sunday.
