Dawn Chorus Walk

Thankfully the rain stayed away for my Dawn Chorus walk at Sculthorpe Moor this morning, thunder is forecast by midday. Lots of action in terms of hearing different birds singing, but not too many showed themselves. We saw a dunnock (main photo), cuckoo, barn own in the distance (Extra), whitethroat, red kite, robin, tawny owl in nestbox, and several waders and geese. We also heard blue tit, great tit, blackcap, wren, song thrush, sedge warbler, cetti's warbler, goldcrest, chiffchaff and pigeon. We also walked in the normally excluded area where the beavers are. Whilst we didn't see them, we did see the work that they've been doing (see Extra). They hope that the female is pregnant as they've started building a lodge. I've attached a link to a youtube clip of one of their beavers if you're interested.
