All dressed up

The male chaffinch is in full breeding plumage and looking very spic and span.  As you can see from his feet, like many Chaffinches he is suffering from fringilla papillomavirus - although this looks unsightly and may be a cause of irritation to the bird, it won't prevent the bird from being able to use its claws and apparently isn't fatal.
