Stopping for the red light

A set of traffic lights were put here after the first storm at the end of January had resulted in the collapse of one side of the road over a culvert which had been unable to handle the volume of water pouring down the hill on its way to an already flooded larger creek and thence to the Tasman Sea.

This afternoon after work, I took a brisk walk around a circuit I ran for part of it. The soles on the shoes I'm using are very slippery, so I'm unwilling to run at all in them, especially with the road surface being wet and often slimy.
