Life through the lens...

Up the creek.

From one of the worst days on Tuesday to one of our best today. Cornish weather certainly isn’t boring.

Always have to visit Helford for a walk along Frenchman’s Creek. One of our very favourite walks and today it was extra beautiful.
The wild flowers are just fabulous at the moment. Lots of frothy white cow parsley, bluebells, red campion, garlic, bluebells. Even some primroses in sheltered spots.
Also spotted some wild strawberries. The fruit just beginning to form. Just a few of the many varieties.

This photo is where the lane winds down to Penarvon Cove.

Stopped along the way and had a long chat with a couple who had moved down from Malvern to retire nearby, 7 years ago.

Stopped at the pub for a couple of shandies on the way back, and then had two of ‘ Anne’s Pasties’ from the little shop.
Unfortunately we missed out on our favourite crab sandwiches as The Holy Mackerel cafe is closed on a Friday.

Just got back to the car when there was a heavy downpour. Only lasted about 5 mins.
Back at the bungalow and the sun is shining.
Enjoying a cuppa along with a cream tea which Carol has just brought round. She does spoil us.

Extra collage of some more photos taken on the walk.

Hopefully this weather is here for a day or two.
