You can take the man out of Middlesbrough....

...but you can't ever get it off his feet.

It's nearly 50 years since I lived in Middlesbrough but having been brought up there and enjoyed all the fun of being a teenager in the 60's it still feels like 'home' even if I know I would never go back.  I keep up to date with what's going on through one or two Facebook groups and one local heritage group recently posted that they had these socks for sale.  Of course, I had to have them; they feature the iconic Transporter Bridge and while I know there are two others in the country, this one is undoubtedly the best!
