Hanging on.

There are a number of flowers still blooming around the garden: nasturtiums, calendulas, sweetpeas, cosmos daisies, carnations, and this beautiful fuchsia.

The bush is nestled on the edge of an area of native shrubs and trees on the edge of the lawn, and has so far survived the cold mornings just on 0C. 

Cold mornings are thanks to clear sky, and we’ve had wall to wall sunshine today, with just a few feathery wisps of cloud here and there. Bean and I both enjoyed the shelter of the guest cabin deck for part of the afternoon.
