We reached Skye by lunchtime, but didn't go straight to the hut as we'd decided to walk to the Fairy Pools first. There's a dedicated carpark, but it's expensive so we parked a way further up in a free one.

What a clever, and lucrative, marketing job has been done on The Fairy Pools, although the falls are not particularly special. It's become a very popular destination and, to preserve the land, a proper path has been made more or less all the way to the top - Fi called it a motorway, but then she had last seen it 26 years ago! We did a circular route, so tourist free for two thirds of it, then carried on down to the hut.

Others returned/arrived as evening approached so we moved our sleeping bags about so that we filled one room and a bit.

The main was taken from the A82 in the morning, and the extra from the top of the Fairy Pools path.
