Morning walk to Mullion Cove.

An absolutely beautiful day dawned with clear blue skies and sunshine.
We took one of our favourite walks along the cliff path to Mullion Cove.
Well I should say I dawdled along, stopping frequently to gaze at the deep blue of the sea, and listen to the sounds of waves breaking over rocks far below.
There was birdsong, including white throats and a stone chat, alongside a robin and a chaffinch singing in the thickets at the edge of the path.
It is always a joy to arrive on the cliff above Mullion Cove, where this lovely vista presents itself, in front of the Mullion Cove Hotel.
Some other people, mainly walkers, were also taking in the glorious view.
As someone said to me the other day “It is timeless”.
Having gazed enough we meandered our way along a field path passing one which holds llamas, to the local Craft Centre and Café, where we sat outside with a coffee.
This afternoon after we had had our lunch, we drove to Porthleven to meet up with an old friend, who moved there at the end of July, along with her friend whose parents live in the village.
We spent a couple of hours with her catching up.
We are going back tomorrow evening to have dinner with her and her parents and friend, at her parent’s new home.

Here’s a link to a small video I made when on the cliff path this morning.

Just about to have a mug of tea, so I’ll be back tomorrow.
I have a book to read, by Dinah Jefferies.
“The hidden Palace”, a sequel to the one I just finished called “Daughters of war”.
