TODAY’S THE DAY

Today turned out to be a quiet and more private day to celebrate life. After all the fun of the weekend today was peaceful.
We had hope to go up to London on my free over 60 pass but of course it didn’t arrive on time so instead we went bluebell hunting at #Emmets Garden in Kent. The bluebells were on the way out but they were still beautiful.
#We decided to do a long circular walk. It was a beautiful day and we started off so confidently.
#stopping briefly for half of our picnic…then we got lost!!!! We were looking for Weardale Manor…we ended up coming out of the woods and luckily came across a postman. Thought he’d know…he didn’t?!?!!
Eventually we came across the site of the manor destroyed before the WW2!!!!!
#we soon got back on track and the views were wonderful.
#But the map….useless!!!
Did wonder of the Rev was planning a Hansel and Gretel storyline to leave me in the woods as an insurance claim!!

Popped into see Mum for a cuppa on the way home and then had an evening opening my cards and a few gifts as I’d asked for donations to Kidney Research…as my best gift is that we still have J with us. We probably raised about £400-500 xx
