Wound up in Wexford

We left Husky and Rocky working this morning, and drove up to Kilkenny to collect a couple of secondhand items I'd found on Facebook Marketplace.

It was an opportunity for a pleasant and relaxing day out.

The baby items were easily collected - the seller met us in a car park at a retail centre.  So we popped in to a couple of the furniture shops, as I was looking for ideas regarding a possible console table, or similar, for the upstairs landing.  No purchases made, but several ideas.

Then we drove back down the R700 to Thomastown.  A couple of months ago, whilst we were shopping for a fridge, one of the chatty and friendly shop assistants had told W about a South African shop in Thomastown.  So we went there for lunch.  Typical Durban street food - but we ate it with a knife and fork.  Mine had beef curry, W's had a chickpea curry.

After lunch a little meander around Thomastown, and then a slow drive home.  The verges are a delight with frothy cow parsley.

We stopped for a wander at Clodiagh Church.  The church was locked, but there was lovely peaceful woodland, a stream, and an old bridge.
