An ordinary life....

Freedom!!!

David, Keith, Kenny and Alan were playing golf locally today so the other golf widows and I got together for coffee and cake at Glendoick Garden Centre.  Unfortunately Ele wasn't feeling well so it was just Gail, Mairi and me.

Got to the garden centre at 2.30pm.  Such a lovely sunny afternoon.  After lots of blethers over coffee and cake, we had a wander round the garden centre.  Neither of them had been there for many years and were surprised at how much it has expanded.

We could each have bought many lovely things but we restrained ourselves.  I did cave and buy a large punnet of the most delicious looking Scottish strawberries.  Perthshire and Angus are two regions known for growing amazing soft fruits and I look forward to having these with my granola in the morning.

When we got back to mine at 5.30pm the sun was still shining so we sat in the garden till D got back from the golf.  The rest of the golfers had rushed off to get to Glasgow for the Partick Thistle game, so Gail was dropping Mairi off at home on her way to collect her husband who'd gone with Kenny to the footie.  Confused?  Me too!  lol

But before that Gail, Mairi, D and I headed to the golf club for dinner.  The lounge was full and the restaurant looked very busy too, but they managed to squeeze us in and we had a very enjoyable dinner.

A really lovely day :-)
