Alone Or Lonely

It wasn't too warm on account of the wind and maybe that's why there weren't many turtles out today. Or else the party is happening elsewhere and this guy didn't get the memo. The light was good enough to show off colour and detail and the wind was not an issue, he didn't budge an inch.

I went back to the tree where I saw the woodpeckers yesterday, but the hole looked much the same and no birds or calls. I don't know if they make lots of attempts before deciding on the ideal site, or maybe they'll come back to finish this one. I will have to keep checking.
