Day at a Time

Ashets

You can tell its a big day when the ashets are brought out and dusted down. Family lunch here today which my sister is kindly co-ordinating. A salmon side will adorn the larger ashet, seen here underneath. It is Denby 'Baroque' pattern. The plates from this set are used by my elder son and his family now but I kept the ashet as it is so useful.  The smaller, floral, one is Alfred Meakin 'Medway'. I bought it in an  antique  junk shop in Fort William some 20 years ago. I'm not sure what it'll hold.

There's lots to do  and I hope the jollity is going to culminate in my grandson staying for a sleepover so blip isn't even in third place here today. Wishing you a good day.
