I bet it was really traumatic for the ants when a digger arrived last autumn and removed concrete, grass and soil... but some of them survived at least, and are now getting their own back!

I spent a while this morning trying to find out online where the pick up point is at Derby Station... it turns out that there isn't one, only a drop off point. I don't understand the difference, but my cousin Sue is coming to visit for a couple of nights tomorrow so I've had to arrange our own pick up point.

Hoovering, bed making, bathroom cleaning and cake making filled the afternoon, and I'm about to test the cake  - cherry and coconut  - with a cup of tea!
