Nature never stops

Monday with Luca, as usual. After yesterday's party, and a late bedtime, he was tired enough to have an afternoon nap. This was quite a relief, as Richard and I had slept very badly. Anyway, we all managed, and had a relaxed time together.
Near Ruth and Josh's house is a shady patch of greenery under a spreading copper beech tree. Sometimes people leave toys or other items there that others may want to take and reuse or upcycle etc. It's not usually outright rubblish, they're usually things that still have some life left in them. This car seat and little cart, however, haven't attracted any takers. Slowly they are being absorbed by nature. I think that if they're still there next week, I'll scoop them up and take them to the council recycling place.
I took Luca home at the end of the afternoon, and then took Eben to his drumming lesson. What a pleasure this continues to be, watching him and listening to him.   He skipped into the building cheerfully and this week he managed to sustain the basic rock beat for around 8 bars at a time - a definite step forward compared to last week.
