At the wedding party

One of Ruth's and Jack's oldest friends - Leah - has married her long-term partner Dennis. Not just long-term but also long-distance; Dennis is from California, and somehow they have kept their relationship thriving for - I think - 7 years, despite the distance.  Very romantically, they first met on the slopes of Macchu Picchu.  They hope to settle in one place together soon, but to date, both job demands and some health difficulties for Leah have kept her in London and Dennis in California.
Anyway - I had agreed to take some photos for L and D, a big pleasure to do.  This could have become a bit stressful, given the desire to do a good job for close friends.  But Jack agreed to join in  and he and Ruth helped me to set up some space on the roof terrace; they generally soothed any nerves I might have had. We're both still editing the files, this collage is a small selection for my own records really.  I've known Leah since she was a baby, so this was all very special.
It was a beautiful party, in one of the renovated ex-industrial buildings in the Kelham Island neighbourhood of Sheffield. The weather was perfect. Afternoon drinks in the sunshine on the roof terrace; food and chat after that; and then dancing to the irresistible beats of Ghanaian musician K.O.G. Dennis's family comes from Ghana; K.O.G. comes from Sheffield but is also of Ghanaian heritage. Good times.
