Wound up in Wexford

The house has a plethora of ovens.  There's a small range, with a full height oven - we'd never seen such a large oven before, but it seems quite a popular option in Ireland.  Thinking about it just now, I realise it's quite narrow, not sure it would fit the Christmas turkey.  But the range also has a standard sized oven.

Then the previous occupants had another standard oven and a microwave, both fitted.  And we brought with us a small freestanding multifunction oven/grill/microwave.

W's reaction, on looking at the standard sized oven in the range cooker, was "yuck, I'm not cooking in that".  So we've been using the separate oven (which was reasonably clean, though our oven cleaner man was not impressed), and the small one we brought with us.  But we have family coming in July, so last week I decided to arrange for someone to clean all the ovens.

He's Lithuanian, he could outdo the Irish in talking!  He was abounding with advice (not always wanted) about what we could do to improve the property!  And he had some very decided opinions on health, that he wasn't shy to share.  But he was here all day, and the cooker (including the extractor fan), the separate oven and microwave and the freestanding oven are all sparkling.  Not cheap, but well worth it.  He found the light bulb in the light in the extractor was just not fully screwed in.  And he found the problem with our downstairs toilet, which has been flushing erratically.

Meanwhile, we did a bit more lawn mowing, but otherwise had a fairly quiet day.
