Sgwarnog: In the Field

By sgwarnog

Broad

My first Broad-bodied Chaser of the year, down at Red Brick Dam.

Moths getting more numerous at the moment: Chimney Sweeper and Brown Silver-line are all over the meadows and I also saw Straw Dot and Mother Shipton.  Butterflies are still just in ones and twos, as the spring species come to their end and we await the emergence of the summer species.  Seen today: Green Hairstreak, Speckled Wood, Green-veined White, Peacock, Small Tortoiseshell and Orange-tip.
