The Bike Library is Back!

Porty Community Energy's Bike Library is back. Electric cargo bike available to hire - free but donations welcome - to encourage people to consider alternatives to their car for at least some of their trips. H and other volunteers were at the Portobello Market to show the bikes to people and gather interest for the scheme. I also did a stint of weeding at the Town Hall. Just me and one new volunteer but we made the front and one side of the building look a bit tidier. There will be lots more volunteer time needed to get the Town Hall ready to open again now that it is being run by and for the community. We have a 25-year lease from the council, at a peppercorn rent to try and make a go of it. First test event is in three weeks - eek!!
