Moon Snails

Very low tide today….Saw a lot of live moon snail egg casings ..the female buries itself and lays eggs mixed with mucus which is mixed with sand and these collars can be seen at very low tides.….and I liked the colors with the different seaweeds..  Didn’t see any snails themselves but added one shell I’ve found before.  Without the animal.  Which drills holes in other shelled animals so is sometimes called the necklace shell.

It's been VERY windy since last night.  H stained some decks today and our neighbor across the bay came over for a chat.   He’s the one I woke up to gather the firefighting troops.   I'm glad he answered the phone.  Some have theirs turned off at night.
