Belly dancing

Today was the Community Games in Cae Glas Park in Oswestry. It's a great event where the various sports and activity groups in the town give demonstrations and have free "have a go" sessions for people to try them out.

My belly dancing group did a few dances and then invited people to join us. A few had a go including a lady that wants to join us, O and family tried it out too (extra photo), I had one of my hip belts so that she would feel the part. It was extremely hot dancing but the show must go on!

F lives very near the park so we went back there for a drink and I got changed before we returned to have a look around.

We had a go at archery and did some bowling on the green (it was a change to do it for free). The band played Johnny B. Goode and we couldn't resist jiving to it.  It's years since we've done any jiving so I felt very rusty!

The caterers were OsNosh, a local charity which provides a community kitchen which cooks meals and shares surplus food so that it isn't wasted and helps people that need it in these difficult times.  The food was good and great that profits went to the charity.

The weather was hot and humid so not good for exercising outdoors so we were glad to get inside in the cool.  Despite that, it was a great day  out with something for everyone.
