Teddington / Baker Street

This is a late posting

This morning we took the train into London Waterloo then the Bakerloo Line to Baker Street.  I worked on Baker Street for many years so the memories came flooding back.  We met two girls that I used to work with and had lunch with them at Bill’s.  As we waited for them to arrive I couldn’t resist taking a photo of the jet trails in the sky above us, plus one or two other photos.  We had a great time catching up on each other’s news and I rather suspect we might see one of them and her husband in New Zealand at the end of next year.

As we got off the train back in Teddington the heavens opened.  There was thunder, lightning and heavy rain for a while and it did eventually ease off but showed no sign of stopping completely so we had to walk home in the rain.  Later in the afternoon we caught the R68 bus (one we used regularly when we lived on Taggs Island) to Twickenham, where MrMacD was able to enjoy a pint at The Fox pub, before our hosts and another friend joined us for dinner at Osteria Pulcinella.  We had a fun time and a delicious meal, then caught the bus home - tired but happy.
