The second half of life..

By twigs

Down the hatch

I've set up a couple of 'orange sticks' for the silvereyes.  They've been a bit slow on the uptake but when one does get the hang of it they do seem to enjoy the sweet orange juice.  The membrane surrounding each juicy follicle though can be a bit tricky for a nectar drinker to handle, as demonstrated by this chap.

Oddly, I'm feeling an urge to mow the lawns.  They're looking and feeling a bit unkempt at the moment so I'm thinking that the next warm-ish, dry day - preferably after a windy day, I'll have a bit of a tidy up.  I'm sure the birds will love me for it.
