Sgwarnog: In the Field

Lane

The walk down to the nature reserve is full of snickets and alleys, although technically this one is a lane. I liked the high flying washing.

It was a mainly overcast today which included an hour or so of rain, which of course arrived just after I’d put my own washing out.  This made it a quiet day for butterflies but I did record a few Speckled Wood and Meadow Brown. There were scores of Banded Demoiselle though, perched in vegetation along the river.

I walked back up via Tong Park Dam, and soon found myself having to watch where my feet were going, as hundreds of tiny froglets were filling the path. I posted a couple of videos on Twitter
