Now, as I see it......

Felbrigg Walled Garden

This morning we headed over to the National Trust's Felbrigg Hall for a walk around the walled garden.  It is a beautiful garden, and one that we never tire of seeing.  Quite busy today being Father's Day, but not enough to spoil the experience although we didn't attempt to get anything in the cafe!  The garden is run organically with pests disposed of by a little army of chickens that is given free range of the garden.  Some lovely young chicks but it seemed impossible to get a shot of one without a very small child chasing them or just getting in the shot.

After the dry week we had a good rain shower overnight which has perked the garden up.  Hopefully we'll get more tonight but it doesn't look promising.  But with slightly cooler weather and being a bit ready for something other than salad it's big flavours tonight; a pasta dish with bacon, chorizo, prawns and lots of garlic.  A glass of red might go quite well with it.
