This is the day

All is not lost

We had quite a few well-established hebe bushes in the garden last year, but sadly most of them died over the winter. It would appear that we weren’t alone, because there were none left to be had at the local nursery, or online, in the spring.

I was pleased to see that just a couple of small offshoots of one bush managed to survive in the back garden, and I’m watering them well to try and ensure that they continue to flourish. I’ve no idea what this bee is, but it was clearly enjoying the hebe too.
