Now, as I see it......

Three of a kind

Another beach day today.  The last time we were there it was a bit blowy so we went down to the harbour first to get some huge pegs we had seen people using to secure their towels.  The idea was to get the bus back over to Pedi bay and walk across the headland to our beach but we decided instead to get the taxi boat round from the harbour.  We've never done that before from the main harbour and the boat was amazing; I've no idea what speed it was doing but boy, did it shift!  We've sometimes got the taxi boat across the bay at Pedi but that is a tiny thing that chugs along; this was quite different.

Quite a quiet day (apparently last week was a holiday in Turkey so lots of Turks were here but they've gone home now).  The beach is fairly basic with some sunbeds and umbrellas and a small Taverna and snack bar so we were amused by one young Greek lady who arrived in her full finery and proceeded to take posed pictures of her beautiful self and gorgeous husband while carefully throwing their arms in the air and tilting their heads and carefully avoiding getting too wet or smiling too much (causes wrinkles, you know).  You just knew they were posted to Instagram within moments.

Of course, the taxi boat back went to the main harbour so while waiting for the bus up to the old town I took this shot of three rather differently sized boats in the harbour.  Extras; a little lizard running up a wall, and a Greek version of the window box.
