Now, as I see it......

Harbour Lights

A funny old day, weather-wise.  We woke up to cloud over the headland which is unheard of; we've never seen anything more than an odd wisp of cloud here at this time of year.  We knew it would burn off but it took a couple of hours and it's been quite humid all day.  We still headed off to the beach though, as dipping in the sea frequently to cool off was the best thing to do.

This evening we decided to eat at Haritomeni, a restaurant about quarter of the way up the hill between the harbour and the old town.  It's visible from the harbour but difficult to find on foot if you don't know the way.  It's very easy to get lost as you have to navigate through little lanes, steps, bends and what feels like going through people's back gardens.  I've heard many a person say they tried to get there but gave up when they couldn't find their way.  We've been several times and the food is fine but not the best we've had, but the big draw is the location.  This is the view we had as we were eating our meal.

It's not worth heading down to the harbour for the bus back up so it's a bit of a climb back up to the apartment and a torch is essential as a lot of the lanes are in darkness.  Now back and enjoying the sight of the full moon rising over the headland.
