4th of July

The annual gloating over winning freedom from the British took place again with the attendant firework displays.  In our lofty residence we got to avoid massive queues of cars traveling to catch a glimpse of the largest firework display in the DFW area as we had a birds eye view of the display from the window and the balcony.  Extra of Leyna observing whilst being observed, photograph on my camera courtesy of the eldest grandson.

We invited the family over to enjoy some burgers I made plus salad and extras by Leyna - we cooked out on the grill on our common outside area on the 5th floor and then played card games and waited for the display.  It was good to see them as they only arrived back from their family holiday yesterday.

Now relax before turning in and back to normal again on the 5th July.
