Tuesday's Cub

Manic Monday served as decent precursor to Tornado Tuesday as I blew across town getting and collecting the children to and from where they needed to be.

First up was m’boy’s football training session, which was a drop and run before heading across and out of town to get The Youngest to her Cubs session by the river in Levens Deer Park. We were there a little early, so had a stroll down to the river (I took this photo as she scampered off, keen to get out into the wilderness) and little by little the rest of her squad turned up - timekeeping is not a strong point of the leaders, but it is hard to criticise as they are all volunteers.

I then shot back across town to catch the end of the training session (m’boy did well, with a couple of nice feints and crossed being put in) for collection and to get him home for a shower. There was a brief respite as we headed back out to collect The Youngest who emerged from the river soaked and frozen to the core, so we warmed her up and got her back home and under the shower as quickly as we could.

We also admired Cliff’s handiwork on the walls and floor. Another half day and he’ll be done.

After that it was a little more of The Leftovers before crashing out.
